Nuttalls, leaders in design and manufacture of interiors and display equipment, have recently completed the fit out of Habitat’s new flagship store in Tottenham Court Road, London.
As a design and development partner for Habitat, Nuttalls worked closely with Habitat’s design team to deliver a brand new concept for this stand-alone store. From manufacture of bespoke display equipment through to installation, Nuttalls transformed the retail space in what is Habitat’s largest store project to date.
In-house manufacture of features included a print and poster bay, feature wall, frame stand, cash desk and new lighting department.
The multi-million pound refurbishment which also included a fitted kitchen studio, cookshop, gallery space, expanded furniture and new lighting department marks a key milestone for Habitat on today’s British High Street.
The new store, which trades across 24, 000 sq ft. has been overhauled to include a feature central staircase, bespoke fixtures and a monochrome design scheme with black wood floors. The re-design is now consistent with Habitat’s branding and reflects the minimal design of the products the company offers.
Clare Askem, Managing Director of Habitat comments:
We like to think of our shoppers as being cosmopolitan and that we are accessible to those seeking design for their homes, as well as some of the more studenty types.
